My name is Joss and I am hugely passionate about creating timeless memories and capturing the beauty of horses.

My obsession with photography began when my Grandparents handed me my first DSLR Camera and the rest, as they say, is history! I combined this with my love of horses and live everyday surrounded by horses and other animals.

From an early age my life has been shaped by horses. I first sat on a horse aged 4 in Zimbabwe (we were visiting family there) on Flash, an ex-racehorse who I was pretty convinced was the most majestic creature I had ever seen. I still remember the feel of the cold stirrups on my bare feet, trying to see over the brim of the oversized helmet and tangling my fingers in his chestnut mane and thinking this was the best feeling in the world.

Over the years, I continued to gravitate back towards horses, getting my first job working on a yard before going to the Royal Agricultural University to study Equine Management. It was here that my love of photography and art began to merge with my love of horses.

I was always the one at parties who brought the camera, and this led to me being asked to cover events which became my first paid photography gigs. I started selling pencil sketches from my dorm room, slowly building a loyal group of clients who would return year after year to commission me.

During my time on placement at Cirencester Park Polo Club in 2015, I began bringing my camera with me at every opportunity and with around 300 games a season I had plenty to photograph!

I loved capturing the thrill and energy of polo, both on and off the field and slowly built up a portfolio of event images. I became an events manager at a polo club and had unfettered access to my favourite subjects and would be both the photographer and the organiser of events.

In 2018 I began gravitating towards portraiture; I loved being able to form one-to-one connections with my clients, spending time crafting beautiful images that celebrated their relationship with their horse.

Finally, in 2021 I made the leap to full time and have been loving it ever since.

When not photographing, painting or sketching you will find me walking my fox red Labrador Penny in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
