Anne Marie, Mumble, Paddington and Frisky

This shoot with Dressage Rider Anne Marie had been a long time coming. Originally scheduled in the winter of 2020, the third lockdown put our plans on hold. Over three months later, when restrictions were finally eased, we managed to set a date in April 2021. Anne Marie had recently moved yards to the stunning Cirencester Park and with spring finally starting to show its face, it was the perfect time for a shoot!

Mumble and Anne Marie

Anne Marie had the most stunning horses combined with a great collection of outfits for our shots. The sun was shining as we started in the stables with the handsome Mumble. Mumble is named after the penguin in Happy Feet – what a fantastic name for a dressage horse! He was a real black beauty, looking like a regal Stubbs painting in the gorgeous Cotswold surrounds.

Paddy the ex-racer was a real character, loving cuddly moments and also pulling silly faces. He was really made for the camera, often stepping in front of Anne Marie to make sure he was definitely in the shot!

Frisky, the chestnut ex-racer did not live up to her name, behaving beautifully although with plenty of energy and presence, creating some lovely images.

This was such a fun shoot, so many of the photos included Anne Marie laughing and you could really see the lovely connection she has with her horses.
