Frosty magic with Anne Marie and Andy

Over a year since our first shoot together, I revisited Anne Marie in November 2022, this time with her husband, Andy. It had been just over a year since their wedding, which took place in the back garden of their beautiful home in Cirencester and was the location for the day’s equine portrait photoshoot. Anne Marie runs Straight Up Dressage, offering high quality dressage coaching, including tailored training programmes to all levels of riders and horses.

The whole family was involved on this shoot, with their cats Smudge and Splodge occasionally joining in with the photos, plus Andy’s ex-racer Paddy and Anne Marie’s Grand Prix dressage horse Mumble. We were blessed with a stunning frosty morning, with delicate morning light giving everything a magical glitter.

Mumble is a true black beauty and a perfect poser – he gets his name from the penguin in the movie Happy Feet, so it was only appropriate to have him in this frozen setting!

After spending plenty of time getting gorgeous portraits of everyone, Anne Marie and Andy put on their wedding outfits from a year ago. Anne Marie was very game to be posing in -3 degrees in just her dress, but I think you will agree it was worth it! We ended the session with some ridden shots of Andy and Paddy in the Winter sunshine, showing off their partnership that they have worked on over the last 3yrs since he joined the family as an ex-racehorse.

Stay tuned for many more images from this incredible shoot!
